Seidio Obex Waterproof Smartphone Case
For those who don’t know about Mobile Fun, they are a company with an enormous inventory. They have countless phone accessories and specifically, a lot of iPhone 5 cases!
The case itself is composed of 3 parts; the back, the front and the water seal O-ring. The back has nice protection on inside as to not scratch the back of your device. There is a window for the Apple logo, camera, flash and rear side microphone. The edge of the back has a special groove around it for the O-ring which is the seal to keep water from getting inside your case. The back is a bit thicker by the glass portions of the two tone design of the iPhone 5 either to protect the glass portion more, for extra protection from the camera and charging ports, or simply just design reasons. The front piece of the case has transparent plastic coverings for the various sensors and camera at the top-front of the device. Down below, there is rubber covering the home button. Lastly, the case has a screen protector made of plastic that is almost 100% accurate. After about 2 weeks of use, I noticed that an occasional keystroke would be missed. Nothing too big of a deal. On top and sides of the case, there are built in rubber coverings for the sleep and volume buttons. The side switch has a removable rubber flap that can be opened to flip the switch. The bottom of the case is where it gets interesting; the microphone and speaker are covered by a special material that allows sound to travel through, but not water. Then there is a rubber flap that is held in place beside the speaker, and folds across with plugs for the Lightning and earphone jack.
