Kingston HyperX Performance Beast RAM
I would like to start by thanking Kingston for sending out this RAM kit to review. You can purchase it from Kingston directly for 192.60.
Right off the bat, this price looks very steep for a set of RAM. Rest assured, this is for a good reason. This is a dual channel 16GB kit of 2400MHz DDR3 RAM with CAS latency of 11 and heat spreaders for higher performance and lower temperatures. The average RAM kit is 1366, 1600 or 1866 MHz without heat spreaders which makes for a lower cost and performance. That information aside, this RAM looks really nice, with black PCB and black heat spreaders. These RAM DIMMS are high profile, meaning they take up more vertical space than regular DIMMS so you need to make sure that they will fit with the CPU cooler you have (that’s if you have a large CPU cooler) before you purchase.
This RAM kit has two XMP profiles which are as follows
This kit is compatible with any motherboard that has a P55, H67, P67, Z68, H61, X79 and Z77 Intel chipsets as well as A75, A87, A88, A89, A78 and E35 AMD chipsets that also support 2133 or 2400MHz RAM modules.
A video review on this RAM kit will be available to view in the coming days!
